Overview
Bandhavgarh National Park located in the state. This park is very popular for white tigers. Visitors mostly come to see the white tigers which are not generally found in any other region of India. The park is having highest density of tigers and belongs to Vindhyan mountain ranges. As the park is popular for white tigers but from last 50 years no white tiger have been found in this park.
Once a hunting reserved by the Rewa family the area is declared as national park in 1968. The white tigers of Rewa were founded here at the last time. Another affinity of the park combines Chital, Wild Boar, Chausingha, Nilgai and sometimes Fox or jackal.
The way of entrance in the park is on elephant back instead of vehicles.
Safari Timings in Bandhavgarh National Park: –
Timings of safari in the park vary from summer to winter. But timmings are same as other parks. Vehicles are permitted in each shift of park and there are four zones to visit the park and people can enjoy these zones by Jeeps. The zones are as follows:
- Khitauli Zone
- Magadhi Zone
- Tala Zone
- Panpatha Zone
Open jeep with individuals is allowed to explore the nature. In the winters because of shorter day light the morning entry time is later and the evening exit time is earlier. This park is also remaining closed from July to mid October.
Winter Safari Timings
Morning 6:00 to 11:00 am (5 Hrs)
Afternoon 3:00 to 6:00 pm (3 Hrs)
Summer Safari Timings
Morning 6:00 am to 11:00 am (5 Hrs)
Noon 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm (3 Hrs).
